1. Overview / Purpose
By enabling Estimated Delivery Dates (EDD) on your store, you can display delivery timeframes directly on product pages. This creates transparency, builds customer trust, and adds urgency to purchase.
For a walkthrough of how this feature works, check out our video guide:
2. Pre-requisites
Before you start, make sure:
- You have a WeSupply account connected to your eCommerce store.
- Your Store Locator File is properly configured with warehouse locations.
- You know your cut-off times, holidays, and non-working days for accurate delivery promises.
3. Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1 – Access Delivery Promise Settings
- Log in to your WeSupply Admin.
- Navigate to:
Settings → Delivery Promise Date → Promise Date Configuration.
Step 2 – Enable Delivery Promise Date
- Toggle the Promise Date button to ON.
Step 3 – Choose Calculation Method
In the Calculate Estimates Based On section, select one of the following:
- Default Ship Location → All estimates are calculated from the default location set in your Store Locator File.
- Closest Warehouse → Estimates are calculated from the closest warehouse to the customer (using all locations marked as Warehouse = Yes in the Store Locator File).
Step 4 – Configure Cut-Off Times
- Enable Cut-Off Time to set the hour when you stop processing orders for the day (e.g., 4:00 PM).
- If enabled, configure the exact cut-off hour under Delivery Cut-Off Time.
- This cut-off time will be displayed to customers on your storefront.
Step 5 – Add Holidays
Set up holidays that affect delivery processing:
- Recurring Date (e.g., New Year’s Eve: Dec 31 – Jan 1).
- Single Day (e.g., Black Friday, which varies year to year).
- Period (From–To) (e.g., Oct 18 – Oct 22 for extended closures).
- Go to Holidays → Add Holiday.
- Select the type of holiday and save.
- You can add or remove holidays at any time.
Step 6 – Define Days Off
Mark the days your warehouse is closed (e.g., weekends).
- These days will be factored into delivery time calculations along with holidays and processing times.
Step 7 – Configure Allowed Countries
- Select which countries should display estimated delivery dates.
- For United States, you can also restrict specific states.
- Customers in restricted states will not see delivery estimates at checkout.
Click Save Changes to apply your configuration.
Step 8 – Configuration in Shopify
- In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
- Click App Embeds → enable BOPIS – WeSupply Returns & Exchanges.
- In configuration, set Pickup Functionality → Show Estimated Delivery Date Only.
- In the theme editor, go to Sections → Default Product → Add Block → select BOPIS – Shipping & Pickup.
- Drag and drop to desired position (e.g., below price).
- Save changes.

4. Examples / Best Practices
- Always include realistic cut-off times to avoid over-promising.
- Plan for seasonal surges by adding holidays in advance.
- Test with multiple products to ensure estimates appear correctly across categories.
5. Troubleshooting / FAQ
Q: Why aren’t delivery dates showing up?
- Make sure the Promise Date toggle is ON.
- Verify that warehouses are set up correctly in your Store Locator File.
- Check that the country/state isn’t restricted in your settings.
Q: My cut-off time isn’t showing correctly. What should I do?
- Confirm that the cut-off toggle is enabled and the correct hour is entered.
- Clear your site cache after making changes.
Q: How do holidays impact delivery estimates?
- Holidays and days off are excluded from processing days, so estimates will automatically adjust.
✨ With this setup, your customers will always know when to expect their orders — improving satisfaction and reducing support inquiries.
