1. Overview / Purpose
Estimated Delivery Rules let you fine-tune delivery dates for products that require additional processing time, such as customizations, engravings, backorders, or made-to-order items. By setting up rules, you ensure customers always see accurate delivery estimates on product pages, checkout, and beyond.

2. Pre-requisites
Before creating Estimated Delivery Rules, make sure that:
- You’ve enabled Delivery Promise Date in your account.
- You’ve selected your default courier and shipping method for EDD calculations.
- Your product catalog or feed is set up with the correct attributes (e.g., SKU, color, brand, etc.).
3. Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1 – Enable Default Courier
- In your WeSupply Admin, go to:
Settings → Carriers → Delivery Promise Date Carriers. - Select the courier and shipping method you want to use for delivery estimates on the product page.
(Note: You may have multiple carriers at checkout, but you’ll need to pick one default for product pages.) - Click Save.
Step 2 – Add a New Delivery Promise Policy
- Navigate to:
Settings → Delivery Promise Date → Promise Date Policies. - Click Add New Logic.
Step 3 – Define Logic Name and Activate
- Enter a name for your new Estimated Delivery Rule.
- Use the toggle to mark the logic as Active.
Step 4 – Add Conditions
In the Conditions section, choose how the rule applies:
- Product Attribute → Targets catalog attributes like Color, Brand, or Size.
- Product Feed Attribute → Allows bulk targeting of products via feed without altering the catalog.
- Product SKU → Targets specific products by SKU (useful for backordered or custom products).
Example: If you want to apply +5 days processing to all Blue products, set the condition to Color = Blue and click Add.
Step 5 – Configure Estimate Window
- In the Configuration section, set the number of extra processing days to apply.
- If needed, enable Exclusive Logic:
- Exclusive logic ensures this rule overrides all others.
- Example: If “Blue products” normally have +5 days, but one specific SKU is on backorder (+14 days), you can set an SKU-specific rule as Exclusive.
- Click Save to finalize.
4. Examples / Best Practices
- Use Product Feed Attributes if you need to quickly add processing delays to many products without editing your catalog.
- Apply Exclusive Logic for SKUs that have special circumstances, like temporary backorders.
- Always test your logic with a product page to make sure estimates display correctly.
5. Troubleshooting / FAQ
Q: My estimated delivery isn’t showing for certain products. Why?
- Check if the correct courier is enabled in Delivery Promise Date Carriers.
- Verify the conditions (attribute, feed, or SKU) match the product details.
Q: How do Exclusive Logics work?
- When set to Yes, the rule overrides any other rule applied to the product.
Q: Can I have multiple rules for different products?
- Yes! You can set up multiple rules (e.g., +5 days for custom engravings, +10 days for backorders). Just make sure priorities and exclusivity are set correctly.
✨ With Estimated Delivery Rules, you’ll always keep customers informed — even when certain products need more time before shipping.
