You can create return logics specific to certain countries, allowing you to customize refund, exchange, and carrier options depending on the customer’s location. This ensures that Canadian customers, for example, receive the correct return policy and tracking capabilities.
Why this is useful
By setting up a country-specific return logic, you can tailor the return process to comply with local requirements and optimize the customer experience. This is especially helpful when working with international customers who may require different carriers, shipping methods, or tracking options compared to domestic customers.
How to set up a return logic for Canadian customers
- Go to Settings → Return and Warranty Methods → Return Logics and Policies.
- Create a new return logic.
- Set the condition:
- Under Condition, select Country is one of, and choose Canada.
- Configure the rest of the return logic (refunds, exchanges, replacements, etc.) as you normally would, based on your business needs.
- Scroll down to the Return Carrier section.
- Toggle the option to Yes.
- From the dropdown menu, select the carrier you want to use for Canadian returns. (Be sure to select a carrier that supports tracking updates in Canada.)
- Save your changes.
Once enabled, this return logic will only apply to orders from Canadian customers, ensuring they receive the correct return options and shipping experience.
