WeSupply gives you full control over how returns and exchanges are processed — whether you want them to be automatically approved or reviewed manually first. With the Required Authorization setting, you can decide the level of control needed for each return logic.
Why Use the Required Authorization Setting?
This feature is useful for businesses that want to review return or exchange requests before approval. For example, high-value items or returns past a certain timeframe might need extra attention. On the other hand, enabling automatic authorization ensures a faster, smoother experience for your customers, ideal for standard returns with low risk.
You can apply different authorization settings to both refunds and exchanges, and it’s especially helpful when you have multiple return logics active in your account.
How to Edit the Authorization Requirement in Return Logic
- Go to
Settings → Return and Warranty Methods → Return Logics and Policies - Identify the Return Logic Being Used
- If multiple logics exist, go to the return request and look for the "Return Logic" label to confirm which logic was applied
- Edit the Logic
- Click on the return logic you'd like to update
- Change the Refund Authorization Setting
- Scroll to the Refunds section
- Locate the Required Authorization dropdown
- Choose between:
- Manual: Each refund request must be manually reviewed and approved
- Automatic: Refunds are automatically authorized upon request
- Change the Exchange Authorization Setting (if needed)
- Scroll to the Exchanges section
- Locate the Required Authorization dropdown
- Set it to Automatic or Manual as needed
- Save your changes
Tip
If you want to update the authorization setting across multiple return logics, repeat the steps above for each logic. Always double-check which logic is applied to a return before making changes.
