We’re excited to introduce a new feature that gives you greater control and clarity during the return process — the ability to reduce the number of options that can be selected in the “Receive and Control” step. This update is designed to help your team process returns more efficiently and minimize confusion or errors when managing item conditions.
Why This Feature Is Useful
Previously, return agents could select multiple control options when reviewing returned items — such as "damaged," "worn," and "resellable" at the same time. While flexible, this sometimes led to inconsistent return decisions or unclear outcomes.
With this new feature, you can restrict the selection to only one option, ensuring that each returned item is assigned a single, clear status. This streamlines the internal process, improves reporting accuracy, and helps enforce standardized quality control practices across your team.
How to Enable It
To limit the number of selectable options in the “Receive and Control” step:
- Navigate to Settings → Return and Warranty Methods → Return Quality Control
- Locate the “Allow multiple return control options” setting
- Disable the toggle to restrict selection to one option only
Once this setting is disabled, return agents will only be able to choose a single return control status per item during the review process.
What does it look like?
When in the receive and control step, after activating the toggle, the agent will be able to select only one option:
This feature is a great step toward creating a more organized and consistent return flow — especially useful for larger teams or high-volume operations.
