1) Overview
Use Warranty Registration to let customers register products after purchase and manage those warranties centrally in WeSupply. You can customize the registration form (e.g., serial number, purchase date, proof of purchase), define eligibility windows, and handle warranty claims linked to the original order.
2) Before You Begin
- You have Admin access to WeSupply.
- You know your warranty policy (coverage length, eligibility rules, required fields).
- You have a plan for where customers will access registration (e.g., post-purchase email, order page, footer link).
3) Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1 — Configure 3rd Party Warranties Settings in WeSupply
- Navigate to Settings → Return and Warranty Methods → Warranties → Advanced Settings → 3rd Party Warranties Settings.
-
Enable the Feature by toggling on the option to QR Code Scan Landing Page.
Step 2 — Set Up Shopify Search & Discovery
- Install and configure the Shopify Search & Discovery app in your Shopify store.
- Ensure the products you want to feature in the QR Code Scan Landing Page are properly configured with related and complementary products.
Step 3 — Import Products into WeSupply
- For the QR Code Scan Landing Page to work, the product must be imported into the WeSupply database collection; follow our documentation to import products into the WeSupply database.
Step 4 — Check the option available
- Enabling the 3rd Party Warranties Settings allows you to set up different features, such as:
- Enable Download App: Allows customers to download a third-party app for managing warranties, enhancing convenience and accessibility for warranty-related services.
- Enable Leave a Review: Displays a "Write a Review" button on product pages, enabling customers to leave feedback directly. This boosts engagement and provides social proof, helping potential buyers make informed decisions.
- Enable User Manual: Provides easy access to digital user manuals for products, allowing customers to view or download guides. This improves the product experience and reduces support requests by offering self-service resources.
- Enable Accessories: Shows relevant accessories for products in the warranty center, automatically suggesting complementary items from your Shopify catalog. This enhances the customer experience and creates cross-selling opportunities.
- Enable Extended Warranty (Coming soon): Allows customers to purchase additional warranty coverage for their products, offering extended protection beyond the standard warranty. This feature boosts customer confidence and generates additional revenue.
- Enable Find a Store Near You: Helps customers locate nearby physical stores using a store locator within the warranty center. This bridges online and offline experiences, making it easier for customers to access in-person support or services.
- Enable Related Products: Displays related or complementary products in the warranty center, suggesting additional items from your catalog. This enhances the shopping experience and increases cross-selling opportunities.
Step 5 — Generate the QR Code
- Once the product is imported and configured, generate the QR code with a link to the Product Center page:
-
Include the Product SKU:
- Ensure the QR code link includes the product SKU as a query parameter (e.g., http://youraccount.labs.wesupply.xyz/warranty-center?sku=NSNC-MR).
-
Test the QR Code:
- Scan the QR code to confirm it directs customers to the correct landing page with product details, related items, and warranty options.
-
Include the Product SKU:
4) Customer Experience (What Shoppers See)
- Customer visits the Registration page, fills required fields, and submits.
- They receive a confirmation email and (if enabled) a follow-up when approved.
- If they need service later, your team can start a Warranty Claim directly from that registration.
5) Best Practices
- Keep it simple: Ask for the minimum fields needed to verify ownership.
- Auto-match orders: Encourage customers to use the same email from checkout to improve matching.
- Document policies: Clearly state coverage length, what’s covered/excluded, and response timelines.
- Measure & Improve: Track approval rates and common rejection reasons; refine form help text accordingly.
- Train support: Ensure agents know where to find registrations and how to convert them into claims.
6) Troubleshooting / FAQ
Customer can’t register—form says “order not found.”
- Ask them to use the order email from checkout and confirm the order number/purchase date.
- Check if the item/SKU is eligible in your policy.
Registration submitted without proof of purchase.

7) Summary
