1. Overview
When testing your return flows in WeSupply, you may create multiple test RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations). To keep your dashboard clean and focused only on real customer activity, you can archive test returns. Archiving removes test returns from the active workflow without deleting the data, ensuring your reports and analytics remain accurate.
2. Pre-requisites
Before archiving test returns, make sure:
- You have admin permissions in your WeSupply account.
- The returns you want to archive are indeed test transactions (archiving is permanent and cannot be undone).
- All real customer returns are processed before you archive, to avoid removing active cases.
3. Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log in to your WeSupply Admin Panel.
- Go to the Returns section.
Navigate to the Returns Dashboard where all returns (active and test) are listed. - Locate the test return(s).
Use filters such as Order Number, Return ID, or Date Range to find your test RMAs. - Open the return request.
Click on the return you’d like to archive. - Click on Archive.
In the return details page, click on the More Actions button and select Archive return request: - Confirm the action.
A pop-up will ask you to confirm. Once archived, the return will no longer be visible in the active returns list.
4. Examples / Best Practices
- Before going live: Always archive test returns so your reports reflect only actual customer activity.
- Filter first: Use filters to quickly identify and archive multiple test returns created during onboarding or troubleshooting.
- Train staff: Let your team know that archiving should only be used for test data—not real customer returns.
5. Troubleshooting / FAQ
Q: Can I restore an archived return?
A: No. Once archived, returns cannot be reactivated. Only archive confirmed test data.
Q: Will archiving test returns affect my analytics?
A: No. Archived returns are excluded from the active dashboard but remain in historical records for reporting consistency.
Q: Can I bulk-archive returns?
A: Currently, returns must be archived one at a time. For large amounts of test data, use filters to streamline the process.
Q: Is archiving the same as deleting?
A: No. Archiving hides test returns from active workflows, but the data remains stored for reference.
