1) Overview
WeSupply lets your team restock returned items flexibly—immediately or after QC, partially or fully, and to a specific location/warehouse—so your inventory stays accurate without slowing down returns processing.
2) Before You Begin
- You have Admin/Agent access in WeSupply.
- Your ecommerce platform inventory sync (e.g., Shopify/Magento) is connected.
- You know your restocking policy (when to restock, where to place stock, how to handle damaged items).
3) Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1 — Go to Return Logics and Policies
- Navigate to your WeSupply account settings.
- Select Settings → Return Methods → Return Logics and Policies.
- Edit or Create a Return Logic.
Step 2 — Locate the Restocking Fee Option
- Scroll down within the return logic settings until you find the "Restocking Fee" section.
Step 3 — Set the Default Restock Quantity Option
- In the "Default Restock Quantity Option When Processing Returns" field, choose the option that best suits your business:
Step 4 — Save Your Changes
- After selecting your preferred option, click Save to apply the new settings.
4) Best Practices
- Gate by QC: Require QC approval before restocking to avoid adding damaged goods to sellable inventory.
- Use locations wisely: Restock to the correct warehouse/bin to reduce pick errors.
- Partial restock: If only some units pass inspection, restock those and flag the remainder for disposal/repair.
- Log condition: Capture Open Box/Refurb notes to inform downstream channels.
- Audit trail: Keep internal notes (who, when, why) for compliance and analytics.
5) Troubleshooting / FAQ
“Restock” button is missing.
- Check your role permissions and ensure the item is in a status that allows restocking (e.g., Received).
Inventory didn’t change in my store.
- Confirm the integration is active, allow sync time, and verify you restocked to a synced location.
Need to restock only part of a return.
- Use the Quantity field to restock less than the returned amount; repeat after additional QC if needed.
Accidentally restocked a damaged item.
- Use Archive (if available) and resubmit the return; add an internal note and update your QC step.
Wrong location selected.
- Edit from Restock history or apply a corrective restock to the right location and a negative adjustment from the wrong one.
6) Summary
Open the RMA, verify condition/QC, click Restock on each item, set quantity, location, condition, and timing, then save. Use partial restock, location targeting, and QC gating to keep inventory accurate and sellable—without slowing down your returns workflow.
