1) Overview
Generate shipping labels right inside WeSupply—no need to jump into a separate carrier portal. You can choose when the label is created (e.g., on request, on approval), define the carrier/service, and automatically share the label with customers from the RMA flow.
2) Before You Begin
- You have Admin access to WeSupply.
- A shipping provider is connected (e.g., EasyPost or your carrier account) and active.
- You know your ship-from address and preferred carrier/service.
3) Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1 — Configure Shipping Carriers
- Navigate to Settings → Carriers → Shipping carriers → Add new carrier.
- After the carrier has been added, please make sure the "Use this account to create shipping labels" option is enabled. If these conditions are met, the shipping rates will be pulled using the carriers configured in the EasyPost/Shippo/WeSupply rates account.
Step 2 — Access the Orders Page in WeSupply
- From your WeSupply dashboard, navigate to the Orders page and locate the order you wish to ship.
- Once inside the order details, click the “Create Shipping Label” button.
Step 3 — Choose Your Preferred Carrier
- In the new tab, select if you'd like to edit the weight of the package, the size of the box and the total weight. You can also click on the Add package button and select if you'd like to use a custom package or the carrier package:
- Then, select the shipping option; you can sort it by price, speed, or carrier:
Step 4 — Purchase the Label
- Click the “Buy Shipping Label” button to finalize and generate the label. The label will be available for download and can be printed immediately.
4) Best Practices
- Map services clearly: match the service name you expect to see on labels (e.g., “Ground” vs “Home Delivery”).
- Set package defaults to avoid weight/dimension validation errors.
- Automate notifications so the customers are emailed properly.
- Test one carrier at a time to isolate configuration issues.
5) Troubleshooting / FAQ
Carrier returned “missing company/person name” or similar.
- Add a Company or Contact Name to the Ship-From profile and Save; re-generate the label.
“Service contract does not exist” or service not offered.
- Switch to a supported service for the destination and package type, or confirm the service is enabled on your carrier account.
Tracking not updating in WeSupply.
- Confirm the label was successfully created (a tracking number should appear).
- Allow time for the first carrier scan; if needed, verify directly in your carrier portal.
6) Summary
Connect a shipping provider, then generate and send labels directly from the WeSupply backend. Test a real request end-to-end, and use automated emails so customers receive the label instantly.
