The Issue
When a discounted item is returned and replaced, customers are seeing a price difference — the discount isn’t carried over to the replacement item.
Why This Happens
This behavior is caused by the current setup in your Return Logic, where the “Replacement or Warranty” option is enabled. Unfortunately, this option doesn’t support carrying over discounts.
✅ Recommended Fix
To ensure discounted prices apply to replacements:
- Go to:
Settings → Return and Warranty Methods → Return Logics and Policies - Edit your current return logic.
- Disable the “Replacement or Warranty” option.
- Enable the “Exchange for Product” option.
- Set it to allow exchanges only for variants of the same product with the same price.
- (Optional) Update the exchange window and mark it as requiring authorization.
- Save the changes.
Bonus Tips
- If you want customers to select items that are out of stock as replacements, enable the setting:
“Allow selling when the item is out of stock.” - Once this is in place, customers will be able to start an exchange and pick other variants (like color or size) without being charged extra, as long as they’re priced the same.
