Issue
If a customer is trying to exchange or replace an item with a discount, and the discount isn’t carrying over, it's likely due to your current return logic setup.
Root Cause
In your account settings, the “Allow Replacement or Warranty” option is currently enabled.
⚠️ This option does not support carrying over item discounts to the replacement product.
Recommended Solution
To ensure discounts are applied correctly during exchanges:
- Disable the “Allow Replacement or Warranty” option.
- Enable the “Exchange to Variant” option – this only allows exchanges for variants of the same product with the same price.
- Toggle ON the setting “Carry Over Item Discount”.
Repeat these steps for each Return Logic where the "Replacement or Warranty" option is currently enabled.
Result
Once updated:
- Customers will be able to exchange discounted items and keep their original discount.
- No more confusion or manual fixes needed!
