Overview
Sometimes old or previously unimported orders can accidentally trigger notifications when updated — especially during testing or integrations. Here’s how to prevent this from happening in WeSupply.
🔍 Why It Happens
WeSupply does not automatically sync all past orders. However, if an old order is updated in your eCommerce platform (e.g., Magento), it may be pushed to WeSupply, which can unintentionally trigger notifications like “Package Shipped”.
This can confuse customers, especially if the order is months old.
✅ How to Stop This Behavior
To avoid notifications being sent for older orders:
- Go to:
Settings → Branding → Notifications → Shipment Notifications - Scroll down to find:
Force Send Package Shipped Notification - Disable this setting
⚠️ This ensures that WeSupply only sends shipment notifications when valid and expected tracking updates occur — not just because of a data sync or update.
📅 Can I Block Orders by Date?
At this time, WeSupply does not support blocking order syncs based on a specific date (e.g., before 06/15/2025). If historical data is reprocessed or updated in your platform, it may still reach WeSupply.
