Overview
Want your customers to receive SMS notifications for in-store pickup orders? You’ll need to enable both the correct notification type and configure the SMS opt-in setting.
Step 1: Enable SMS for Pickup Notifications
- Go to Settings → Notifications.
- Find the Pickup Notification section.
- Make sure SMS is selected for the relevant notification(s).
Step 2: Check SMS Opt-In Configuration
- Go to Settings → Branding → Configuration.
- Scroll down to Advanced Configuration.
- Under the SMS Opt-In section, choose whether:
- Customers receive SMS automatically, or
- Customers must manually opt-in.
⚠️ If set to manual, customers won’t receive SMS messages unless they explicitly opt-in during checkout or order tracking.
Testing SMS
To verify everything is working:
- Place a test order with your own number.
- Mark the order as ready for pickup.
- Check if the SMS arrives based on your configuration.
Still Not Working?
If SMS isn’t coming through:
- Double-check notification settings and opt-in setup.
- Confirm the correct phone number was used.
