Overview
Sometimes, customers may see canceled items available for return in the WeSupply Return Center. This can lead to return requests for items that were never shipped, causing confusion during refund processing.
Why This Happens
WeSupply pulls order data from platforms like Shopify. If an item was canceled outside of your eCommerce platform (e.g., in an Order Management System), it might still show as “unfulfilled” rather than “canceled.”
If your settings allow returns for unfulfilled items, WeSupply may incorrectly list the item as return-eligible.
How to Prevent It
- Ensure cancellations sync properly to your platform (e.g., Shopify)
Use cancelation methods that update the order status clearly as "canceled." - Review your return eligibility settings
Consider disabling returns for unfulfilled items if this causes issues. - Check your OMS integration
Make sure it passes accurate cancellation data to your eCommerce platform.
