Overview
Trying to add store locators to your Shopify site can be difficult and time-consuming.
Not only do you have to worry about the coding, but you also need to create a custom design that looks good on your site and is aligned with your branding.
With WeSupply Store Locator for Shopify, you can easily add unlimited locations to your website in minutes. Everything is fully customizable, so it will look great on your site and match your branding. Plus, our Store Locator is easy to use and manage - you can upload a CSV file of all your store locations in just seconds!
How to set up your Shopify Store Locator?
Prerequisites: Before going ahead embedding your WeSupply Store Locator to Shopify, you should start the setup process by filling in your Stores CSV file with the information required for all retail locations and uploading it to WeSupply. Read our How to set up the Store Locator Import File for Your WeSupply Account? article for specific instructions. Once this step is completed, you can continue with the instructions below.
Note: To upload more than 10 physical locations in WeSupply, you will need to upgrade your paid plan with the Store Locator add-on. This can be done by going to the My Membership icon in the upper right corner of your WeSupply account > Change Subscription > select the Store Locator add-on and click Upgrade. After upgrading, you can import an unlimited number of store locations.
Step 1. Log in to your Shopify Admin account to access the store that's connected with your WeSupply account.
Step 2. Go to Online Store, head to Pages, and click Add page.
Step 3. Insert an appropriate Title for your Store Locator page. The title will be visible on the store's frontend.
Step 4. In the Content section click on the HTML editor icon.
Here, you would need to paste the relevant code snippet for embedding the WeSupply Store Locator in an iframe on your Shopify store locator page.
Copy the code snippet below and paste it into the HTML code editor. Please make sure you change the youraccountname part with your WeSupply account name. If you log in to your WeSupply account, you'll be able to see your account name in the browser.

Step 5. Click Save and double-check if the store locator looks as expected on the frontend.
You can Preview the page and this will look similar to the image below. You can further work on any adjustments based on your preference.
Note: If the Store Locator window overflows off of the page, or intersects with other elements on your page, you can try adjusting the inline styles of the iframe to ensure it stays within its container and has a fixed width/height. You can do this by removing the position: absolute property and adding fixed values for the height and width values. Here's an example:

Q: Is the Store Locator a paid service?
Yes. The Store Locator is a paid service.
Q: Can I upgrade/downgrade my subscription to the Store Locator add-on at any time?
Yes. This can be done by going to the My Membership icon in the upper right corner of your WeSupply account > Change Subscription > select the Store Locator add-on and click Upgrade, or Downgrade.
In case you're downgrading your subscription to the Store Locator add-on before the monthly invoice is issued (every 30 days of usage), you will pay for the estimated usage up to the day of downgrading.
Q: How easy is it to manage all store locations?
You just have to upload a CSV file and manage all your stores at once, which is great if you have multiple locations. This can also be modified at any point and as often as needed to ensure that the details are always up to date and accurate.
Q: Is there a limited number of store locations that I can upload on my WeSupply Store Locator?
You can add an unlimited number of locations to your Store Locator Page and Map. This means that you can add as many locations as you need, without any limit. Specific instructions can be read here.
Q: Is there a way to test how store locations render before making them visible for customers?
Yes. Once you upload your stores under your WeSupply account, you can preview what the store locator looks like and make sure that this is what you expect.
Q: Can I upload dealers' and distributors' locations along with my physical stores?
Yes! You can showcase your stores, dealers, retail points, or distributors selling your products all over the world. This way, potential customers can easily find a location near them. Plus, it helps build brand awareness and credibility.
You can also add custom filters and customers will be able to search locations by dealers in specific areas, distributors, or store locations.
Q: How can customers detect the nearest store locations?
To find stores near customers, we use automatic geolocation detection. This is a handy tool that will help them locate the nearest store to their current location or find other stores in other areas.
Q: If I have store locations and dealers in several countries, can customers filter stores by their country, specific address, or ZIP code?
Yes! They can search stores by country, state, region, city, specific address, or ZIP code.
Q: Can I control the store search radius, the nearby stores' radius, and the maximum of nearby stores visible for customers?
Yes. You have full control over how many stores should the customers see in their vicinity. The range varies from 3 to a maximum of 30 store locations.
Q: Is there a way to show store directions on Google Maps?
You can show directions to your customers on Google Maps using the Get Directions button. This can be a helpful way to ensure customers are headed in the right direction.
Q: Can I add specific store features for each store location that customers can filter about?
Physical store locations can be sorted by Store Features, such as Drive-thru, Wi-fi, and Pet allowed, Parking available, Curbside available, etc. This makes it easy for customers to find the perfect location for their needs. Whether they're grabbing a quick bite on the go or looking for a place to relax and surf the web, sorting by Store Features helps them find just the right spot. And if they're a pet lover, they can easily find locations that welcome their furry friends.
Q: Can I add specific store details for each of my store locations?
Yes! You can showcase store details such as store address, store opening and closing hours, store phone numbers, store email addresses, images, about store info, link to social media pages, curbside or pickup instructions, etc. All these can be added for each of your locations and will help engage customers while providing them with the information they need.
Q: Can I have a different description for each store location?
You can have a custom description for each store location by using the About Store section. This allows you to control the story you tell about your brand's physical locations.
Q: How easily can customers reach out to any of the stores?
To reach the store, the customer has to simply click on the phone number located on the store locator. This will allow customers to call the store with no hassle. They can either opt for a phone call or send their questions via the email address associated with the specific location.
Q: Is there a possibility to match the look and feel of the store locator with the brand?
You can use your CSS to fully customize your Store Locator Page. By using CSS, you can tailor the look and feel of your page to match your brand. You can control the design of your pages from your WeSupply account in terms of colors, fonts, CSS styling, and specific store details.
Q: Can I upload my branded pin marker on the map?
You can upload your custom pin marker that is specially branded and designed. The formats accepted are .gif, .png, .jpg, with maximum 2 Mb. This will add a personal touch to your maps, and it is a great way to stand out from the crowd.
Q: Is the store locator design mobile responsive?
Yes. Thanks to a mobile-responsive design, the Store Locator page already works and looks great on smartphones and tablets.
Q: How do I manage my in-store and curbside locations?
As a store owner, you can manage In-Store and Curbside Pickup, plus return locations using the same WeSupply store locator file.
Q: Can I include in-store pickup and curbside instructions on the store locator?
On your WeSupply store locator, you can include instructions for pick-up and curbside delivery per location. This way, customers will know exactly what they need to do in order to get their purchases.
Q: Can I use the store locator to allow customers to return products to stores?
Yes. In-store returns can be made to the closest store or specific location found on your store locator.
Q: Is there a way to ask customers for feedback regarding their in-store or curbside experience?
There are several ways to collect Store Feedback based on the experience your customers have with specific physical locations.
One way is to use your social media pages where customers can post feedback on your store locations' Facebook/Google/Yelp pages.
Another way to collect Store Feedback is to allow customers to leave feedback that's visible internally and it's not shared with the public.
Q: Can I link different social media accounts to each store location?
Yes! Using social media is a great way for stores to connect with Google, Facebook, Yelp, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest customers. For example, a store can post pictures of new products on Instagram, run promotional contests on Twitter, and share special deals on Facebook. By staying active on social media, your stores can build strong relationships with your customers and followers.
Moreover, you can add custom links to any other social media platforms that you're using to engage your customers, like Youtube or even TikTok.
Also, if you don't have any social media accounts to link to your stores, there's absolutely no problem! You can simply skip these details.
Q: Can I see the traffic on the store locator pages in Google Analytics?
Your WeSupply account has a Google Analytics integration for retail insights. By integrating Google Analytics into your store locator, you can gain valuable insights into customer behavior and traffic patterns. This information can help you improve the overall experience for your customers and make better business decisions.
Q: Are the store locator pages SEO-optimized?
The store locator on your website will be SEO-optimized. It has Schema.org markup which allows search engines to better understand the content of each page, resulting in higher rankings and increased traffic for your site.
Q: Can I choose to hide/delete specific store locations in order for those to not be visible for customers anytime?
Yes! You can choose to hide or delete particular locations on the map, at any time. This is a great way to manage your stores map and make sure that your customers are seeing exactly what you want to see.
This can apply in case a store location will be permanently closed. Thus, it makes no sense for your customers to see locations that are permanently closed.
