Overview
Are you looking for a way to return products that were purchased from different vendors? You know that if you have multiple vendors, it can be difficult to determine where each product should go back...
The Return Disposition feature allows you to choose where your returned products are sent. You can send them back to the original sender, or have them sent directly to a specific vendor location.
This is especially helpful if you want to return products that were purchased from different vendors and need those items returned back to their respective locations. For example, let’s say you ordered two items from Vendor A and one item from Vendor B. All three items will be sent back together in one package but each item will be going back to its own respective vendor location.
You can use our Return Dispositions feature for any reason including returning products that are defective or not what was expected by customers. Products that are returned can be returned to multiple locations and you can target products specifically for returns with a particular customer or supplier.
Return to Sender
WeSupply is integrated with Magento's MSI functionality, which allows it to mark Store Locations as Warehouses from where products can be sent out. This, in turn, works with WeSupply's Disposition feature whereby products can be returned back to the shipping Warehouses via the WeSupply Returns functionality.
Step 1
You can start by setting up your shipping locations in Magento by following the steps in the following article: How To Set Up Different Store Locations in Magento 2 For WeSupply Dispositions?
If you already have those set up as you use Magento MSI, skip to the next step.
Step 2
In your WeSupply account, under Settings > Return Methods > Return Dispositions, you can configure your Return to Sender (RTS) disposition code. This disposition code will ensure that each product will be sent back to the original shipping location.
Step 3
a. In your WeSupply account, head to Settings > Locations > Manage CSV Location File -> download your sample Stores CSV file.
Edit the Stores CSV file downloaded and make sure that the CLIENT KEY column is a unique number for each store. Note: If the store is used for Dispositions as a Warehouse, the CLIENT KEY value must match the code of the shipping Source configured in Magento.
b. Then, mark the return location with RTS under the Disposition Code column to ensure that products shipped from this location will be returned to the same location.

Return to Vendor
If you don't have Magento's MSI functionality in place, there are other ways worth exploring in order to return products to the original shipping location. That being said, we're going to have a look at how you can target your merchandise by product attributes and mark them to be sent to a specific location. To provide an example, we'll further customize a return rule based on the Brand product attribute.
Step 1
Head to your Magento Admin panel > WeSupply > Configuration > Advanced Settings > Product Attributes to be Exported for Return Logics > select the product attributes to be exported from the available list > Save Config.
Note: If you cannot find a convenient product attribute among the ones you already have set up, you can always create new product attributes and the list will be updated right away (Creating Product Attributes In Magento).
Step 2
In your WeSupply account, under Settings > Return Methods > Return Dispositions, you can configure your customized disposition codes. These are totally customizable and you can input a more recognizable identifier for your locations. The disposition code will ensure that each product will be sent back to the original vendor. You can also use the RTV disposition code that's already pre-setup under your account.
Step 3
In your WeSupply account, head to Settings > Locations >Manage CSV Location File -> download your sample Stores CSV file.
a. Edit the Stores CSV file downloaded and make sure that the CLIENT KEY column is a unique number for each location.
b. Then, mark your return location with the corresponding codes under the Disposition Code column to ensure that products shipped from this location will be returned to the same location.

Step 5
Start configuring your return logic and under Conditions, you can build specific rules using your product attributes exported from Magento.

In the example below, the Product Order Attribute is the brand, having its value Nike. Then you'll be able to set up a specific return location for all items associated with Nike.
