If using WeSupply for self-service returns and your customers initiate returns on the WeSupply platform, but you decide to process returns externally and issue the corresponding refunds from Magento, we can pick up the item refund status and close the return in WeSupply.
Note: For Magento users, please take note that this functionality is available starting with version 1.10.20 of the WeSupply extension. Make sure that you're running on your store at least this version.
Log into your WeSupply account and go to Settings -> Returns:
Scroll down to the Close return if item status is refunded -> select Yes -> click Save.
Once the setting is saved, each time items are marked as refunded in Magento, the same update is displayed on the WeSupply frontend. This way, customers can see the status of their returns and check the refunded amount:
Q: I'm using an ERP system to issue refunds and then send the update to Magento. I can still close returns in WeSupply using this method?
Yes. As long as the refund update exists in Magento, we pick the refund status and close the return automatically.
Q: I'm refunding returned products through an ERP system. Can I still send refund updates to WeSupply?
Yes. You can send refund updates to WeSupply via our API.
Q: I want to process returns in WeSupply and issue refunds from your system. Should I configure anything in WeSupply?
Yes. Please make sure you set up the corresponding Order Refund Processor under Settings -> Returns. You have three options: Shopify, Magento, or API.
