Overview
Are your customers tired of wasting time printing return labels?
We’ve all been there. You buy something online, it arrives and it doesn't fit you well. You're returning the item and then have to find a label printer, print out your return label, and stick it on the box. And that’s before you have to wait for your refund! It can be a real pain – not to mention time-consuming and complicated at times.
This is why we partner with EasyPost to make returns easy for both you and your customers by creating QR Code return labels. Now customers can easily switch between a print-at-home label or a printless QR code that they can take to a drop-off location.
Major, quick to achieve wins from using QR Code return labels:
- Remove unnecessary steps with printerless return labels. This way, we save time for all parties involved in the process – no need to print a label at home anymore!
- Deliver ultra-convenient returns. QR Code return labels can be scanned at USPS offices that accept Label Broker, FedEx drop-offs, or selected Walgreens locations nearby.
- Provide an automated return experience. Customers will never have to wait on hold again when they need help returning an item. They won’t have to fill out forms over and over again. And your customer service team will always be able to quickly process returns requests and issue refunds without having to spend weeks trying different cumbersome ways to find order numbers, customer email addresses, RMA numbers, etc. It's all automated by us!
- Opt for a greener, waste-reduction return label solution.
Set up QR Code return labels
Simply create your EasyPost account (if you don't have one already) and enable your USPS or FedEx carrier account in there, connect your EasyPost account to WeSupply, and opt-in for QR Code return labels.
In case you don't have an EasyPost account connected to WeSupply yet, please start with the EasyPost - WeSupply connection: How to connect EasyPost to WeSupply?. Once successfully completed, you can continue with the steps taken below and enable QR Code return labels.
Do you have an EasyPost account already connected to WeSupply? That's great! You can head to Step 3 listed below.
*Note: If you use FedEx for return labels, a few extra pieces of information are needed for setting up QR Code return labels. Please reach out to us at support@wesupplylabs.com.
Step 1
Log into your WeSupply account and head to Settings -> Integrations -> App Integrations:
Step 2
As printerless return labels can only be used via an EasyPost account, first connect your EasyPost account to WeSupply.
Scroll down and from the Other Apps section and click on EasyPost -> press the toggle button to "Enabled" -> insert the EasyPost API Key -> Select if the key is in Production/Test mode -> click Save:
Step 3
Go to Settings -> Carriers -> Return Carriers and Select your default courier for return label generation -> set up the Default Return Courier (EasyPost) along with the Shipping method to create return labels (USPS, or FedEx):
Step 4
In the same section as above, to enable printerless return labels check off the QR Code return label generation option -> click Save:
Step 5
Hit the Test return label generation to check what the test return label looks like.
If successfully generated, you're good to go and your customers can start using QR Code labels when returning products they purchased from you.
How does QR Code return label work?
Once QR Code return labels are enabled in your WeSupply account, customers will automatically receive the digital code label when completing the return request.
Via WeSupply, customers can submit a return request within seconds and receive a downloadable QR Code return label on the return confirmation page, that's sent to their inbox as well.
Both the printed return label and the QR Code label will be automatically displayed on the Return Confirmation page. Also, both can be checked out at any point via their email and on their Order Detail Page.
They can either print the label and stick it on the package to be shipped back to your warehouse, or scan the QR code at the drop-off point.
Add QR Code return label link to email templates
