Oftentimes, it happens that customers are in a rush when purchasing products from your website. Thus, entering the wrong shipping details can be a fairly common problem.
The issue goes further when your customer service rep team tries to generate return labels for the customer, and they are unable to create those because of the invalid address.
You might think that the customer is responsible for providing the correct address, but that does not help anybody.
If you're experiencing invalid/incorrect recipient address errors when generating return labels in WeSupply, there is a solution that you can use to make things right.
Example of error:
Recipient address invalid: The address as submitted could not be found. Please check for excessive abbreviations in the street address line or in the City name.
You can troubleshoot and resolve the issue by following the steps below.
Log into your Magento Admin Panel.
Go to Sales -> Orders:
Search for the order number that you would like to correct the address for and click View:
Once you head into the order, under Address Information -> Shipping information -> click Edit.
In this example, there is an incorrect address:
2465 Hempstead Turnpike
Eat Meadow, New York, 11554
whereby Eat Meadow should have been written East Meadow.
Now edit the Order Address Information where needed and click Save Order Address.
Wait 3-5 minutes for the order information that was just edited to be synced to WeSupply.
Log into your WeSupply account and go to the Return Requests tab-> click on the order number for which you have just edited the shipping address.
If the shipping address is changed and it's correct, you should now proceed to create the return label for the customer.
