If your fulfillment process involves using your warehouse’s carrier account (e.g., UPS, FedEx) instead of your own, you may be wondering whether this setup affects how WeSupply tracks and updates your shipments. The good news: it doesn’t!
Why This Setup Works with WeSupply
WeSupply integrates with your Magento store and pulls tracking information directly from there. This means the specific carrier account used to ship the order—whether it belongs to your warehouse or your business—won’t interfere with our ability to track and update order statuses.
As long as two key elements are present:
- A valid tracking number in your Magento order
- The correct ItemPOShipper value
WeSupply will be able to process the shipment and send notifications without any issues.
What You Need to Do
To ensure smooth functionality when using a warehouse carrier account:
- Verify that your Magento system receives the tracking number from the warehouse after fulfillment.
- Ensure the correct ItemPOShipper is assigned to the order (this typically matches the shipping carrier used).
There is no additional setup required within WeSupply.
Final Notes
This flexibility allows you to work with third-party fulfillment centers or warehouses without sacrificing visibility into your shipments. As long as the tracking data flows into Magento properly, WeSupply will take care of the rest.
