When creating international return labels, it’s important to ensure that the return address is valid for international couriers — especially since many carriers do not deliver to PO boxes. If a return label was created with a PO box address, you’ll need to update it to a valid street address before proceeding.
Why This Is Important
Most international shipping providers do not allow deliveries to PO boxes. If a return is created with a PO box as the destination address, the return label may fail to generate or may not be accepted by the carrier, causing delays for both the customer and your team.
To ensure a smooth return experience, you’ll need to modify the return address to a non-PO box location.
How to Update the Return Address
To correct a return created with a PO box address, follow these steps:
- Archive the return request in WeSupply.
This step will cancel the current return process so you can start fresh with updated information. - Update the return address in Shopify.
Navigate to your Shopify settings and update the warehouse or return address to a valid street address. - Restart the return process.
Once the address is updated in Shopify, create a new return request for the same order. This time, the new address will be used and the return label can be generated successfully.
By following these steps, you can prevent issues related to invalid return addresses and ensure that your international returns are processed without delays. If you need assistance with archiving the return or verifying address updates, our support team is here to help!
