Configuring WeSupply to send Email Notifications via a custom email address over the Google SMTP can be done via two methods. The recommended method is the one in this article, which requires enabling Two Factor Authentication on the Google Account in question. If you're, for some reason, unable to enable Two Factor Authentication, you can use the method below:
While this method can be used as an alternative to the first one, it can cause security issues within your Google Account and is not recommended. If you're able to generate an App Password, it's advised you send us that instead. The steps for this alternative method can be found below:
1. Disable Two Factor Authentication on the Google Account - This is required in order to be able to enable the Less Secure Apps functionality on the Google Account. For details about disabling the Two Factor Authentication on the Google Account, check out this Google Article.
2. Enable the Less Secure Apps functionality on the Google Account - This is required for the WeSupply Service to be able to connect to the Google Account. The details and steps to take in order to enable the functionality can be found in this Google Article.
3. Allow Access to your Google Account via Display Unlock Captcha - Access this link and click "Continue" to allow the WeSupply App to connect to the Google Account.
