Surface delivery dates on product pages and at checkout to let your customers know exactly when their product will arrive. More transparency, more urgency to buy.
Here's a video to better understand how the Estimated Delivery Date works, let's get started! :)
Make sure to enable the Delivery Promise Date function by toggling on the Promise Date button.
On the Calculate Estimates Based on section, you can set your estimates based on:
-> Default Ship Location - all estimates will be calculated as originating from the location set Default Ship Location in the Store Locator File.
-> Closest Warehouse - estimates will be calculated as it would ship from the closest location, we use all locations set as Warehouse = Yes from the Store Locator File and calculate delivery time from the closest one to the customer.
Enable Cut-Off Time indicates the time when you stop processing orders for the day. (ex. 4 PM) We will use this value to calculate the remaining time to guarantee a delivery time estimate.
Select YES or NO.
If selected YES, from the Delivery Cut-Off Time section you can set up the right hour to start your cut-off time.
This is how the cut-off time will be displayed on your store for your customers:
-> Recurring Day: a great example would be New Years - Dec. 31 - Jan. 1
-> Single Day: would be a holiday that shifts days every year, such as Black Friday
-> Period (From-To): would be an extended number of days when your order processing Warehouse is closed - Oct. 18 - Oct. 22
- On the Holidays section -> click Add Holiday:
- Then Add the type of Holiday you'd like to set up: Recurring Date, Single Day, Period (from-to).
- You can always Add a new holiday and also Remove one of those that were set up.
On the Days Off section you can check off the days that: represents the days your order processing Warehouse is not working, it can be weekends (Sat. & Sun.) or any other day you might be closed.
Note: When we calculate estimated delivery time we look at historical data and add any holidays, or days off into the calculation of the processing time.
Your website is most likely available to be visited by international shoppers. Select from the Allowed Countries the country for which you would like to display the estimated delivery date.
If the United States is selected, you can also choose the restricted states from the Restricted States dropdown menu. Customers that are located in the restricted states won't be able to see the estimated delivery date when placing orders on your website.
Click the Save Changes button for your settings to be applied.
