When setting up return and exchange logic in WeSupply, certain configurations may cause issues with label generation. This article will guide you through the best practices for avoiding duplicate return requests and ensuring smooth exchange processing.
Understanding the Issue
Currently, the "Generate return label for each quantity" setting works for returns but not for exchanges. If an exchange request is created under a return logic that generates multiple return labels, it can lead to duplicate return requests in the system.
To prevent this, we recommend adjusting your return logic settings until a system update extends this functionality to exchanges.
How to Adjust Your Return Logic Settings
Step 1: Locate Your Return Logic Settings
- Log in to your WeSupply account.
- Navigate to Settings → Returns and Warranties → Return Logics and Policies.
- Find the return logic currently applied to your RMAs.
Step 2: Modify Your Return Logic for Returns
- Select the return logic and disable exchanges for this rule.
- Ensure that "Generate return label for each quantity" is enabled.
- Save the changes.
Step 3: Create a Separate Logic for Exchanges
- Duplicate the existing return logic.
- In the duplicated logic, disable returns and keep only exchanges enabled.
- Set the return label generation to "Do not generate multiple return labels."
- Save the changes.
By keeping separate return logics for returns and exchanges, you can prevent duplicate return requests while maintaining automated label generation.
Next Steps
WeSupply is actively working on an update to extend the "Generate return label for each quantity" feature to exchanges. Until then, using separate logics will help prevent any issues with duplicate returns.
