This feature allows you to offer return insurance directly within your shipping options, providing customers with added peace of mind and encouraging higher conversion rates.
Why This Feature Is Important
Return insurance simplifies the returns process for customers by covering potential return shipping costs. By integrating this option into your shipping choices, you can:

This feature is exclusively available for Shopify Plus or Advanced customers. If you’re not on one of these plans, consider upgrading to take advantage of this powerful tool.
How to Set Up Return Insurance as Part of Shipping Options
Step 1: Enable Carrier Settings
Before setting up return insurance, ensure at least one shipping carrier is enabled in your WeSupply account.

Retrieve Your API Key in EasyPost:
- Log in to your EasyPost account and navigate to Account Settings to retrieve your API key.

Go to Settings in WeSupply:
- Navigate to Settings → Carriers.

Set Up a Default Carrier:
- Configure a default carrier using an EasyPost production key.
- Configure a default carrier using an EasyPost production key.
Step 2: Add a Return Carrier
To enable return insurance, you’ll need to add EasyPost as your return carrier.

Select “Add New Carrier”:
- In the Carriers section, click on Add New Carrier.

Choose EasyPost:
- Select EasyPost as the return carrier.

Step 4: Access Return Insurance Settings
Now that your carrier is set up, configure return insurance as part of your shipping options.

Navigate to Return Settings:
- Go to Settings → Return and Warranty Methods → Return Insurance.

Select Insurance Type:
- In the dropdown menu, choose “Insurance as Part of Shipping Options.”
- In the dropdown menu, choose “Insurance as Part of Shipping Options.”
Step 5: Set Shipping Rates
Define shipping rates for different services and include return insurance in the calculated rates.

Add a Shipping Rate:
- Click on the “Add Shipping Rate” button.

Configure the Rate:
- Choose a title, carrier, and service type for the shipping rate.

Include Protection Price:
- Mark the box to include the return insurance price in the calculated shipping rate.
- You are also able to set a Flat Rate for your customers, which can also include the insurance cost:
- Mark the box to include the return insurance price in the calculated shipping rate.

Save Your Settings:
- Confirm your changes to activate return insurance as part of your shipping options.
