Introducing the Login Form on Tracking Pages

We’re excited to announce a new feature designed to enhance the security and usability of your tracking pages: the Login Form on Tracking Pages. This feature ensures that only authorized users can access detailed order information, protecting customer privacy while maintaining a seamless tracking experience.

Why This Feature Is Important

The login form adds an extra layer of security to your tracking pages by verifying customer identity before displaying sensitive information. This helps prevent unauthorized access to order details, such as package contents, while still allowing customers to track their shipments easily. By requiring order-specific credentials (e.g., order number and zip code or email), this feature ensures that only the intended recipient can view detailed tracking information.

How the Login Form Works

Option 1: Look Up Tracking by Order Number and Zip Code/Email

Customers can access their tracking page by entering their order number and zip code or email. Here’s how it works:

1. Enter Order Details:
   • On the tracking page, the customer inputs their Order Number and Zip Code or Email.
2. Verification:
   • If both pieces of information match the order in our system, the customer is redirected directly to the tracking page associated with the order.
3. View Tracking Details:
   • The customer can now view the full tracking details, including the progress bar and package information.

Option 2: Look Up Tracking by Tracking Number

Customers can also access their tracking page by entering their tracking number directly. However, for security reasons, detailed package information will not be displayed until additional verification is completed. Here’s how it works:

1. Enter Tracking Number:
   • On the tracking page, the customer inputs their Tracking Number.
2. Verification:
   • If the tracking number exists in our system, the customer is redirected to the tracking page, but the Package Information section remains hidden.
3. Complete the Login Form:
   • The customer is prompted to enter their Order Number and Zip Code or Email to verify their identity.
4. View Package Information:
   • If the details match, the Package Information section is displayed, allowing the customer to view the contents of their shipment.
