Providing clear options for customers during the return process is crucial for reducing confusion and unnecessary inquiries. If your customers find the default messaging unclear when choosing between a store-generated return label and using their own, you can easily customize the wording to make it more user-friendly.
Steps to Update the Messaging for Return Label Options:
- Enable User Label Choice:
- Log into your WeSupply account and navigate to Settings → Return and Warranty Methods → Advanced Settings.
- Look for the option Allow user to choose if label is generated or self-provided and enable it. This gives customers the ability to decide whether to use a store-generated label or provide their own.
- Log into your WeSupply account and navigate to Settings → Return and Warranty Methods → Advanced Settings.
- Update Translations for Return Label Options:
- Go to Settings → Branding → Translations and select Returns Center Page from the drop-down menu.
- You’ll see two default translations corresponding to the return label options:
- Label Generated by Store
- Use My Label and Ship It Back
- Update the text to make it clearer and more user-friendly. For example:
- Change "Label Generated by Store" to something like "Download a Prepaid Shipping Label" to better indicate the action required.
- Modify "Use My Label and Ship It Back" to "I’ll Ship It Back with My Own Label" for clarity.
- Change "Label Generated by Store" to something like "Download a Prepaid Shipping Label" to better indicate the action required.
- Go to Settings → Branding → Translations and select Returns Center Page from the drop-down menu.
- Test the Changes:
- After saving your updated translations, open a fresh incognito window to test the new messaging. This ensures that the changes have been applied correctly and gives you a fresh view of how the updated options will appear to your customers.
By updating the messaging, you can reduce confusion and improve the return experience for your customers, ultimately cutting down on support inquiries and streamlining the process.
