When selling digital products, showing a Delivery Promise Date (Estimated Delivery Date or EDD) may not be necessary since no physical shipment is involved. While WeSupply’s EDD functionality provides valuable delivery estimates for physical products, it currently cannot be turned off for specific items like digital products.
Current Limitation:
- The EDD feature is applied globally across your product catalog and cannot be disabled selectively for certain products such as digital downloads or services.
Alternative Solutions:
- Product Categorization: One potential workaround is to create a distinct product category for your digital products and clearly communicate in the product description that no shipping or delivery time is required for these items.
- Customer Communication: Add clear messaging on the product page to inform customers that the product is delivered digitally and the Delivery Promise Date does not apply to these items.
WeSupply continues to improve its features based on customer feedback, and updates may be introduced in the future to enhance flexibility for different product types. For now, managing customer expectations through messaging on digital product pages is the best approach.
