A Bundle Product is a single SKU in Shopify that combines two or more products. Usually, all of the products in a Bundle are delivered together and sold at a discounted price. This common practice aims to get customers to choose a higher-priced option, thus increasing your Average Order Value.
With WeSupply, it's very simple to manage bundle products and ensure customers can properly return them. To be able to return the items composing a bundle, follow the steps below:
- Log in to the WeSupply Admin and head into Settings -> Return Methods -> Manage CSV Bundles File
- Download the Sample CSV file by pressing the Download Sample CSV button.
- Once the file is downloaded, open it up with your editor of choice.
- Add your Bundle Products information to the file, ensuring you keep the same CSV structure (table headings, number of columns). The information you need to input into the file is as follows:
- Bundle Item Name - This field refers to the name of the individual (child) products contained within the Bundle. Add a separate row for each individual product.
- Bundle SKU - This field refers to the SKU (stock keeping unit) of the main (parent) Bundle Product, which contains the individual (child) products.
- Item SKU - This field refers to the SKU (stock keeping unit) of the individual (child) product, namely, the one you're referring to in the Bundle Item Name field.
- Item ID - This field refers to the internal product ID generated by Shopify when your product is created.
-If the individual (child) product is a variant of a different configurable product in Shopify, use the configurable product ID in this field.
-If the individual (child) product is a standalone simple product in Shopify, use its own product ID in this field. - QTY - This field refers to the quantity of the individual (child) product within the Bundle.
- Price - This field refers to the individual (child) product price. You can set any price you want here, however, it's recommended that the sum of the prices you set for your individual items equals the price of the whole Bundle. The best way to do so is to use the following formula:
(*base product price*) - (*Bundle discount percentage*) - Allow Individual SKU Exchange [ Yes / No ] - This field allows you to choose whether you'd like the individual (child) product to be eligible for Exchanges. Note: If you set this field to Yes, you'll also need to set the Allow Individual SKU Return field to Yes.
- Allow Individual SKU Return [ Yes / No] - This field allows you to choose whether you'd like the individual (child) product to be eligible for Returns.
- Individual SKU image URL - Link to the individual (child) product image.
- Once you're done editing your CSV file, save it and head back into your WeSupply Dashboard.
- Hit the Upload Bundle CSV button and select your edited CSV.
- Save the changes and you're done.
To make everything clearer, let's take a look at a quick example CSV configuration and scenario:
We have a main Bundle Product (parent) called Living Room Bundle - Table & 4 Chairs that we want to add to the CSV, comprised, evidently, of 1 table and 4 chairs. As such, the main Bundle Product (parent) contains 2 individual (child) products.
- The main Bundle Product SKU is living-room-bundle with a total price of $1800.
- The individual product SKUs are living-room-chair and living-room-table and they have base prices of $250 for each chair and $1000 for the table. Factoring in the 10% discount on the main Bundle Product, this results in $225 for the chair and $900 for the table.
The CSV file would have two rows, one for each individual product, and would look like this:
